Like Kuvvy said, he lives in Turkey, so he doesn't know about American events. If we change the date, the other people will have to change other events they have planned. It works both ways.
Like Adam said, it's a little late for sign ups. There are already 31 teams involved. This should've been brought up right when the announcement was posted.
